Louisiana Revised Statute 56:278
The Louisiana Alligator Advisory Council is hereby created in the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. The Louisiana Alligator Advisory Council shall be responsible for reviewing and approving recommended marketing, research, and educational programs to be funded from the Louisiana Alligator Resource Fund to ensure that any monies from the funds are expended for the specific goals of the council.
The Council consists of nine members. Members are appointed by the LDWF Secretary. Membership consists of a three farmers, three landowners, and three alligator hunters.
